Photos on Friday::Allen Family Photoshoot

We had hopes of an outdoor session since the kids are a little older, but Iowa's winter was so harsh that even us adults didn't want to brave the bitter cold.  So, we opted for a store called West End Architectural Salvage to take some photos at.  It offered a perfect mix between rustic and homey, perfect for their cowboy boots!
It was so awesome meeting this family.  The parents are adorably in love, there son is one of the most serious yet kind kids I've ever met, and their daughter is sweet and sassy just like little sister/daughters should be!  Okay, I'll quit chatting…you'll see, they're just adorable! :)

Find Your Spot

I was reading comments on another blog the other day and someone mentioned You answer a bunch of questions about preferences {rolling hills, mountains, or beaches or I must have a grocery store in town, it would be nice, or I grow my own food, etc.} and tells you which cites best 'fit' you based on your selections.  Obviously we haven't left Iowa yet {which probably means we never will} but I can pray that we will someday!  So here were my top 25 locations... {and honestly?  I think it's pretty accurate!  Either way, it's fun to look at and dream about}  If you do this, tell me where it says you should be! :)

We would probably be best friends...

If you'd rather curl up on the couch with a good book than go out partying

If meeting up consists of park playdates or shopping with double strollers

If you text vs. call

If you watch parenthood, modern family, law&order SVU, or Sons of Anarchy

If your favorite food is pizza

If your idea of a perfect vacation is spending a week on the beach, tanning, relaxing, and drinking mimosas for breakfast

If wine or mt. dew are your go-to drinks

If you photograph way too many details of your life

If a night out consists of grabbing ice cream or going for a couple of drinks on the patio

If you're also addicted to IG {or blogging}

I saw this idea on Krysten's blog a while back :)

2014 Books | January, February, March

Last year I read most of my books while nursing/pumping Cullyn.  This year I've been able to read by enlarging the font on my Kindle and reading while I run on the treadmill.  Since I'm trying to log at least 15 miles a week {over 3-4 days}, I've been able to get through a good amount of books, which is good because my mom has over 100 books on her Kindle that I'm dying to read!  In case your're wondering, this is what I've read so far in 2014
